The Pillerseetal is both, in winter as well as in summer ideal for practising various kinds of sports. In particular those who love skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, walking through winter landscapes, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing and hiking will love the region.
In winter, the region is a very attractive winter sports resort with more than 65 lifts, more than 200 km of pistes and excellent cross-country ski runs as well as several well-maintained winter walking paths. Besides, there are 4 tobogganing runs in the Pillerseetal which are all lit in the evenings.
An ideal destination for hiking tours is the BUCHENSTEINWAND - directly at our doorsteps!

The Pillerseetal offers loads of events so that you will certainly not become bored – once a week there is the night of games (Spielenacht) in Waidring, the lightening of the lake (Seeleuchten) in St. Ulrich am Pillerseetal and the popular pirates' night in the "Familienland PillerseeTal".
Bummelnacht in Fieberbrunn
"Bummeln" is the German word for "to stroll" which is what the visitors of this popular event are supposed to do. In the summer months July and August, the Bummelnacht takes place once a week and it has become an attractive place to meet for both, the young and the old with games, fun and action with magicians and jugglers.
